Software developer (gn) for numerical simulation in the field of plastic injection molding processes

Your tasks:

  • Development of thermophysical, rheological and kinetic models for plastic-specific processes and materials.
  • Design and implementation of efficient, scalable and robust algorithms for solving complex fluid mechanics problems (finite volume method) on parallel computer architectures.
  • Software development within an extensive code base: conducting code reviews, troubleshooting and error correction to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Supporting our application engineers with software-related problems through technical expertise.

What you bring with you:

  • A degree in physics, mathematics, computational engineering science, plastics technology, materials science or a comparable field.
  • Several years of professional experience or a completed doctorate in the field of numerical methods and algorithms for solving partial differential equations in fluid dynamics (e.g. finite volume method).
  • Sound knowledge and practical experience in software development.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, precise work and the ability to work both independently and in a team.
  • Strong communication skills and enjoyment of working in interdisciplinary project teams.
