CFD Software Developer (f/m/x)

As a CFD software developer at MAGMA, you will play a key role in the development of state-of-the-art software solutions for the simulation of flow phenomena. You will work closely with a team of dedicated professionals to design, implement and optimize algorithms and numerical methods for our CFD solutions.

Your tasks:

  • Collaborating in cross-functional teams to understand requirements and implement them in innovative software solutions
  • Designing and implementing efficient, scalable and robust algorithms for solving complex fluid-mechanics problems
  • Optimizing the performance and scalability of numerical methods for parallel computer architectures
  • Performing code reviews, troubleshooting and debugging to ensure quality and reliability
  • Staying up to date with the latest simulation methods, software development practices and industry trends
  • Providing technical support to our application engineers in finding solutions to software-related problems

 

What sets you apart:

  • Doctorate in computer science, engineering, natural sciences or a related field
  • Solid knowledge of numerical methods and algorithms for solving partial differential equations in the field of fluid dynamics, e.g., finite volume method (FVM) and finite element method (FEM)
  • Experience with modeling multiphase flows and free surfaces desirable
  • Proficiency in the programming languages C/C++, Fortran and Python and experience with parallel programming
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to work both in project teams and independently
