We are happy to announce that Service Release 1 to MAGMASOFT^® 5.5 is now available for download.

This new version 5.5.1.1 contains new developments and numerous bug fixes.

 

MAGMASOFT® - Release 5.5.1.1

The major new developments are: Project management: Archiving of project versions Geometry modeling: Movable dies can be defined within the material list All casting processes using material 'Core': Binder degradation is extended to inorganic binder systems MAGMAiron: 'Eutectic' and 'Liquidus' temperatures are now displayed in accordance to the used chemical composition MAGMAsteel: New criteria 'Holding Time' and 'Austenite Grain Size' available for heat treatment simulations MAGMAstress: New result 'Contact Gap' MAGMA C+M / MAGMAc+m: New criterion 'Erosion Depth' for quantitative prediction of core box wear

Installation instructions as well as the general Release Notes of MAGMASOFT^® 5.5 are still valid. A direct access to these documents is located in the software download area of the website.

We will demonstrate the new functionality during webinars. We have already sent a corresponding invitation to all MAGMASOFT Users in advance. If you have not registered so far, you can use the following link to register to the live webinar, which will happen on March 2nd, 2022:

All webinars will be recorded and made available at our website "to watch on demand" at any time.

If you already use the option to download MAGMASOFT^®, please login to the website and download the new version 5.5.1.1. If you previously received the installation media as a parcel and you would like to download MAGMASOFT^®, we can activate the web download for you upon request.

Additionally, we can send the version 5.5.1.1 as a DVD. Please use the contact data below to order your installation package.

We would like to draw your attention that version 5.5.1.1 will be installed as a separate version. If you have not yet updated to MAGMASOFT^® 5.5, you can directly use this version.
