We are happy to announce that an Update for your current MAGMASOFT^® 5.5 installation is now available for download. The new version named 5.5.1.2 contains an update of the log4j libraries to version 2.17.1 and numerous bugs have been fixed.

MAGMASOFT® - Release 5.5.1.2

With the release of MAGMASOFT® 5.5, version 5.5.1.2, MAGMASOFT® uses the latest available log4j libraries. For this library version, there are no known security vulnerabilities. If MAGMA does get knowledge of any security problems related to the use of log4j libraries, the issue will be investigated immediately. If necessary, appropriate measures will be taken accordingly. Please note: The statement dated January 14th, 2022, which is available in the support area of the MAGMA website, remains valid for earlier MAGMASOFT® versions. Please note that MAGMASOFT® is not directly affected by the known security vulnerabilities.

The "MAGMASOFT^® Patch 5.5.1.2 Notes" include summaries of both, the log4j library update and the bug fixes. Please download the "MAGMASOFT^® Patch 5.5.1.2 Notes" together with the MAGMASOFT^® version.

Installation instructions as well as the general Release Notes of MAGMASOFT^® 5.5 are still valid. A direct access to these documents is located in the software download area of the website.

If you already use the option to download MAGMASOFT^®, please login to the website and download the new version 5.5.1.2. If you previously received the installation media as a parcel and you would like to download MAGMASOFT^®, we can activate the web download for you on request.

Alternatively, we can send the version 5.5.1.2 as a DVD. Please use the contact data below to order your installation package.

We would like to draw your attention that version 5.5.1.2 will be installed as a separate version. If you have not yet updated to MAGMASOFT^® 5.5, you can directly use this version.
