MAGMAacademy PROGRAM 2024

Competent and trained users are essential for your success with MAGMASOFT®. The experts at MAGMAacademy train users both reliably and efficiently in the use of MAGMASOFT® to enable them to make the best possible use of all capabilities of a virtual casting process. As usual, in our online event calendar, you will find our well-proven trainings as well as the planned MAGMAacademy workshops for the different materials and processes. We will show you how to systematically implement the software in your company and how to best add the finishing touch to every casting.

In our seminars and forums, we provide decision-makers and experts with the knowledge they need to reliably evaluate simulation results and promote collaboration. They will then be able to introduce the appropriate measures to ensure quality and minimize costs. Make full use of MAGMA’s know-how and casting process simulation to optimally lay out both casting design and casting process.

For this purpose, the following technology-orientated offerings await you in 2024:

SEMINAR “Evaluation of Simulation Results”

This seminar introduces you to the different simulation results and the wide range of available (quality) criteria of MAGMASOFT® in high pressure die casting/sand mold casting. Based on practically relevant examples, you will find out how to analyze the results and use them efficiently. Moreover, you will learn how to interpret simulation results, evaluate the associated properties as well as effectively and successfully implement these insights in your company. This seminar is available upon request. For more details, please feel free to contact Malaika Heidenreich at +49 241 88901 699 or send an e-mail to academy@magmasoft.de.

SEMINAR “Continuous Casting of Steel Alloys”

This seminar introduces you to the world of continuous casting of steel alloys. In addition to the general basics, you will learn about continuous production processes for semi-finished products and how to optimize both their quality and their productivity. This seminar is available upon request. For more details, please feel free to contact Malaika Heidenreich at +49 241 88901 699 or send an e-mail to academy@magmasoft.de.

ITALIAN FORUM Casting, Process and Economical Optimization Through Efficient Die Temperature Control

May 16-17, Lazise (VR), Italy

This two-day forum, organized by MAGMAacademy in collaboration with our Italian partner EnginSoft, is focused on the virtual layout and optimization of innovative temperature controls of die casting tools. Engineering efficiency, agility and robustness of temperature control systems are the key to cost-effective casting quality at the lowest possible CO2 footprint.

The forum will provide the opportunity for lively discussions in which you can jointly investigate how the design of the die temperature control system can be developed and verified in parallel with the part design using casting process simulation. Share experience, discuss possibilities and get detailed insights into innovative temperature control of dies – from early-stage layout to data-driven process control in serial production! Read more.
