Paul Starke, project engineer at Trompetter Guss Chemnitz GmbH, is visiting MAGMA to participate in the sand casting basic and process training with MAGMASOFT®. We met him for an interview and asked him, among other things, what his expectations were when he came to Aachen.
Mr. Starke, when did you first come into contact with MAGMASOFT®?
We have been using the software at Trompetter Guss for over ten years. During this time, I also attended my first basic training as a foundry student at the time. I experienced the product launch of MAGMA 5 first hand. For half a year now, I have been managing and supervising projects independently as a project manager. It was time to refresh my knowledge about the software and get to know the new functions. Now I am more confident to evaluate the results of MAGMASOFT® independently.
What were your expectations when you came to MAGMA?
At our company, MAGMASOFT® is mainly used for the calculation and optimization of processes. After the training I hoped to be able to work independently with the software in the company. The expectations were fully met. Now I feel safer simulating.
How do you like the training?
All in all, the training is a lot of fun. The contents are understandable and when questions arise, the trainer is on the spot. In addition to the training, the beautiful atmosphere in the Academy also stands out. The on-site catering leaves nothing to be desired. In the evening I explored the historic city of Aachen. This is definitely worth a visit.
