Student assistant (gn): Machine Learning (ML)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented student to support our data science initiatives by developing, testing, and evaluating machine learning models.

Preferred Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s program in Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields;
• Practical experience with Python is beneficial;
• Ability to work in a team;
• Initiative & reliability;
• Independent & structured work.
• Available for at least 10 hours per week

Your tasks

• Investigate and compare different supervised ML models (e.g., Linear Regression, Random Forest, etc.)
• Implement and evaluate automatic feature selection techniques, such as Recursive Feature Elimination (RFE) combined with Cross-Validation;
• Assess model performance;
• Visualize and interpret model results;
• Document methodologies and outcomes clearly for reproducibility
• Assist data science activities
